Forums - Gaming - Have you ever done a very repetitive task, to unlock secrets in a game?

One time I told a girl I loved her until she believed it. Oh wait, you mean video games? Yeah sure, lots of times.

Crisis Core, the missions can be quite repetitive, not as bad as some of yours but it can be annoying at times.

FF10, thunder plains, avoiding 200 lighting strikes consecutively, and just to get a part for tidus ultimate weapon, so satisfying when I finally got it.

It was for emo girls final weapon or Lion blue mage guy. Either way I know I didn't do it, and got Tidus' final weapon. I got it for like 10 people actually since no one but me could do the chocobo racing.

oh yeah, that choco racing thing where you have to beat the competition with a time of 0:00. o.o;;; stressing to say the least cuz the choco controls like a drunk

At one point I was trying to get job lvl 99 on all jobs in Final Fantasy 3.....I decided to stop a few weeks into that adventure....

FFXII. Doing the hunts/marks. Also Crisis Core missions are very repetitive.

Isn't this how every MMORPG works? Repetitive tasks to level up is pretty much the rule.
