Even if it stayed on xbox, they have had only one game this year, which was Quantum Break.

One exclusive (which is also on PC anyway) is a joke.

But still.  Those games are ending up in the hands of gamers.  In fact, a lot more gamers have access to those games now.  How can that be a bad thing for the gaming industry???

or  when you said "Worst year of gaming EVER"   you actually meant "Worst year of Console gaming EVER"?  (which in my opinion is not the case anyway)

Even that is not correct. I am mainly a console gamer and I see more benefits for me.

And alle the big games are released in Q4 for the past decades. The big ones released in Q1/Q2 are probably delayed from the year before.

Anyway, a year with a mainline Gears of War, Forza Horizon, Quantum Break, Dead Rising along with some smaller games like inside is not a bad year for Microsoft. And I personally think that Sony did better than last year, too.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Nah there's been worse. And I think 2017 will be worse

Probably not the worst, but it isn't a good year either.

To be fair I sort of agree, this year I've only bought street Fighter V and Ratchet and clank, I enjoyed both games but compared to other years it's a small amount. That saying I've got rise of the tomb raider preordered and Final Fantasy XV. Those two games could easily redeem the year for me.

Quite the opposite for me. 2016 is the best year in gaming and elctronics history for me.

This year we are seeing the move from 2K to 4K+HRD, which is the largest leap in the history of display tech. On top of that, gaming is leading the charge for this massive leap, which is amazing to see.

Then we have VR coming which is bringing the first new experiences to TV, Movies, and Games in over two decades. Again, another market where games are pushing the industry forward ahead.

Basically, 2016 is the excitement of 1995's move to 3D graphics, and 2005's move to HD all in the same year. All while over delivering with an amazing line-up of games across the industry. Just on PS4 alone we had Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted 4, Doom, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Assetto Corsa, and No Man's Sky already. Then the end of the year wraps up with PSVR World's, RIGS, Batman VR, Call Of Duty IW + MW, Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, Watch Dogs 2, Final Fantasy World, Dragon Quest Builders, Final Fantasy XV, and really it goes on and on.

In fact I would almost have to say that 2016 is by and far the most exciting year in gaming in hardware, software, and innovation.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. It's been a hell of a year. Good games like Uncharted 4, Overwatch and others to come like Mafia 3 and Dishonored 2.

And PS4 Pro which is a lot of fun to see how people believe it offers so much value or something :'). Sony's been laughing at people's face lately and they take it with a smile.

Not even close. You're entitled to that opinion, of course, but there's nothing significantly worse or different for that matter compared to recent years this time around outside of Nintendo winding down the Wii U (how you can say that the 3DS lineup is subpar this year is beyond me) and the console expansions.

There have been many worse years, and this one still has three months and a major hardware launch. Now, I think that major hardware launch will end up a failure on all fronts except sales, because as you noted with NMS, hype is a horrible thing sometimes. But that doesn't take away from what will otherwise be the best year to date for PS4 games.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

1983 i think when the video game crash happened because the quality of most games was terrible.

Im quite hyped, forza horizon is one of the best and most fun racing games ever, dead rising 4 looks amazing, gears of war 4 looks amazing.

On the Sony Side, persona 5 is released in japan and uncharted 4 is amazing

It might be the worst Nintendo year ever, especially since I disliked pokémon go lol
