Congrats. Played it on the PS1 YEARS ago, wasn't too impressed (I was more of a Spyro/FF type myself) but I probably would change my mind now.

Btw, how much is the collector's edition? And which system, PS2 or PS3?

ps2, and its $29.99

How in the world do you beat the guy with the blade? My bullets have no effect on him, and stun grenades do nothing!

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure you have to use hand-to-hand combat, or CQC as it's called in the game.

Yeah, for the Ninja guy, don't use weapons. Just punch him.

MG is the greatest franchie in media period. MGS2 is the best game in the series by far, followed by 1 and 3 was disappointing due to the watered down story after negative fan backlash

The ninja?  You just have to beat his ass old school, by hand.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

A bit late, but better late than never! Have fun playing through these masterpieces for the first time. :)

Btw, if you play MGS3 before MGS2, the storyline of MGS2 will make a hell of a lot more sense. :P

Congrats on the purchase btw. You might be freaked out by the storyline in MGS2.

*Sigh*

I remember playing MGS for the first time. One of the most exciting and invigorating gaming experiences I ever had. It was like rediscovering games all over again... Cannot wait for MGS4.
