Jeez. Looks like you're screwed.

Off-topic: I think I may need to go and pick this up, I do miss MGS 1.

Dude, you are such a dick.

who's got that movie cover that's almost exactly like the NES cover of Metal Gear?

I've only played MGS3 and I didn't like it :/

The stealth was crap, the camera was annoying and there were more cutscenes than actual gameplay.....which was actually fine by me, because I had more fun watching them than playing the game itself.

I think the same, but I played MGS2. Good as story, good as movie, but not so good as a game.

I like Splinter Cell series more then MGS.

I bought the essential collection, brings all 3 games, and all I have to say is....

ITS F'IN AMAZING!!

The ps1 game is better than all my ps3 games put together, I would go far enough to say its better than mario O-O..

The beginning was epic, I cant wait till I finsh the ps1 game. Amazing game so far, Ive never played a game with such a great story line and such amazing gameplay, and the graphics are amazing for a ps1 game.

I got bored about 1/2 way through the original MGS.  It's too bad, because I *loved* Metal Gear for the NES.

MGS isn't meant to be a game though. Kojima himself has said that he intends MGS to be an interactive movie, foremost a cinematic experience and secondly a gameplay experience. For what it is, MGS is amazing.

Only unintellectuals not willing to think don't like MGS2, don't listen to them, it's by far the best in the series

If you're into whiny emo bitches and overly convoluted plot lines, I guess it's a great game.

Or maybe I'm just an idiot and the game went completely over my head.

*rolls eyes*

MGS was a good, not great game. The best part were the boss battles. I could beat Mantis and Wolf on extreme without getting hit once (I had no rations and my life bar was empty).
MGS2 was one of the worse pieces of shit ever made. I could get over the retarded plot if the game at least had good boss battles. Come on, one of the bosses only required you to equip a cardboard box and run left and right.

I was wondering when someone would call me out on my dick-ness

Lawl.

But I really don't think that Psycho Mantis was that hard.

MGS is pretty awesome in general. However, the cinematic (= tries to be like a movie) style isn't for everyone, and there's a number of annoying little things that keep jumping at your face over, and over, and over again. Oh, and I can't wait to hear what you think of the plot of MGS2. I tried explaining it over IRC to a few of other members, but nobody would believe me. =P

I still love the series and look forward to playing MGS4 eventually, but it's probably for the best if Kojima does something completely different after finishing it.

Well Ive gone past that idiot physco guy, and am now past that sniper, and passed the liquid encounter(What a shock), and back at the communications tower, cant finish climbing it though, too many guards will try later though.
