Is a sad new from my country, In Guanajuato and Mexico this happened, darketos and punks think that emos are copying their styles and are arming a war.

 Note to self: Already been arrested in Mexico once.

Are Indie kids really the same as Emos now?  Things have changed so much since I was young :( *shakes head*

I honestly don't get why forum nerds would hate "emos". I'm sure the majority of you don't have any reason to hate them. To act like you hate them is just plain ignorant, when you clearly don't even know what "emo" means.

As for indies and emos, most people I know who listen to any actual emo are in fact indie kids. Things like Hawthorne Heights, MCR, Fall Out Boy, whatever... those aren't emo. At all. Bad pop-punk, alternative, pop. People who listen to that stuff are either 15 or have the mentality of a 15 year old and just buy up whatever hot topic says is cool. I find it necessary to set people straight because emo up until that mainstream crap came around was actually quite respectable. (I just acquired some recently and am quite enjoying it) Same thing goes for screamo, nobody actually knows what screamo is except the people who actually listen to it. And it irritates me to no end when people call bad mainstream metalcore bands "screamo". Screamo is not something you would hear on the radio. Same goes for emo.
