Forums - Gaming - What Would You Say If This System Is The No.1 Selling Console This Christmas?

Would you believe it?

You have to be admit, it would be shit-balls hilarious if the age of all the dick-waving over 4K, native resolution, Virtual Reality, HDR, teraflop, mip-map, pixel counting, RAM bandwidth, if this little guy goes the distance this holiday season.

Not gonna happen for one reason.

There is zero way Nintendo even makes enough to make this happen. Nintendo always under-ships any sort of demand.

A chip shortage of a system from 1983 .... in Christmas 2016 .... is almost equally hilarious.

Yup, I totally agree. It's $60 to be fair, but it's going to sell millions. The silent retrospective before what 2017 has in store.

This is pretty much what I was going to say.  If there was any surprise surge in demand, they simply wouldn't have enough available.

Can't be that hard to make more, but the idea of Reggie trotting out and having the explain an NES shortage in this day and age makes me chuckle too. I can already see it now: "Used Original NES' being sold for 20x mark up on eBay!"

Why is it hilarious when this thing is only 60$? Besides it's not gonna outsell xbox one let alone ps4.

I mean if they produced enough and marketed properly, it could do that. It's $60 and has potential appeal to a huge number of people. Gamers who haven't bought Nintendo in ages but have nastalgia for their old experiences, former gamers who have moved on but want to relive some childhood memories, parents of young children looking for a really affordable way to provide some more substantive games that are safe (both ratings wise and no micro transactions to drive up cost), collectors. However, I doubt it will cause I don't see Nintendo producing a mountain of the things or marketing too aggressively for it.

If that happens it will be apparent that Nintendo does not know what it's doing. They're always so slow and complacent when it comes to cash in on old IPs. That's why they're always so surprised when things sell.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Oh, I totally forgot about that thing. Easy christmas present.

It sure would be hilarious if the NES mini was the hot item this Christmas xD
