Forums - Gaming - Let's show some love for Spider-Man PS1

Long before the arkham series for Batman producers were able to make a superhero game that was beyond average, even being one of the best games of a said console lifetime. Spider-Man ps1 was a marvelous game, it pushed the system to it's limits and had great gameplay mechanics, it is easily one of the best graphics in the entire ps1 catalogue, even whitout using pre rendered backgrounds.

I loved this game as a kid. I have played through it multiple times. I really liked the metal-style music as well that changes depending on whether or not you're fighting enemies. It was cool punching guys off the building and then hearing them hit the ground all the way down. The hardest part for me was usually the part where you're on the subway train and have to survive for a certain amount of time. I had the PS1 version growing up, but I had friends who had the N64 and PC versions. The bonus features are cool too, with a survival-like mode to see how many enemies you can defeat.

At the time, the graphics were panned but the game was great! One of my favorite Ps1 titles. I relayed it like a billion times. I kinda want to play it again.

Those were the days... Webswing on the clouds.

The plot was like a fanfic from the comics and Spidey was fun as always. Also, each level was unique.

3DS, Wii, PSP, Vita, PS2, PS3, PS4 & Steam.

Amazing game, one of my all time favorites. Great mechanics, bosses, and character customization (and by that I mean the various costumes)

Yup, Spidey was great on PS1.
Both games, not only the first, Enter Electro also needs some love.

Enter Electro was good, but I always preferred the first. I remember hearing "You should have called for back up" so many times while I'm destroying them.

I played the superior Dreamcast version, great game.

Dude, I love Spider-Man on PS1.

I especially loved all the cool secrets and costumes you could unlock, like the Symbiote suit, it was super OP.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

It's definitely a great game loved it as a kid, i still remember the Spidey sense sound effect.

I played both the first game and enter electo last year and both games were definately the best superhero games on fifth gen consoles.
