I feel the same but that started with de Blob with me, kinda. Nintendo just added their heart and essence with Splatoon, however.

De Blob has absolutely nothing to do with Splatoon, both have paint, period.

Close enough relations. Point is the feeling continued on and greatly magnified by Splatoon for me. 

Well that's cool then. I liked de Blob too, I just never felt anything similar to it playing Splatoon.

It's really fun, but it didn't invoke any of those feelings for me :p

Of Course you are not only one! I said few times this, Splatoon is best thing that happened Nintendo this gen, great totally new great IP, that is so Nintendo from side of quality and fun.

Hopefully they will keep growing the franchise, I'm suprised they didn't announce anything in the 3ds direct. I still have a lot to discover in this game though, just reached lvl 10 and can play ranked and I have only tried turf war as game mode. I'm looking forward to many hours of fun with this game!

Actually I would surprised if they announce anything at 3DS direct because its almost certain they working on Splatoon 2 for NX, or Splatoon port for NX in worst case.

I think Splatoon is my favorite multi-player shooter. I firmly believe it is a more enjoyable game than, say, Overwatch. I hope a sequel is in the works, though all I really want from a sequel is some cleaning up of its interface and lobby. It's otherwise one of my favorite games of this generation.
