I mean, semantics. All this does is point out a flaw in the naming convention of the genre. Super Mario Run is still in "that" genre, since being endless isn't an important enough facet of the genre to be a deciding factor in what isn't classified as one.
Let's call them all "Runners" from now on. Is Super Mario Run just another souless runner? Obviously.
