lol, I'm in the SMD camp that expects an NX console to be somewhere in between PS4OG & pro #polaris. But in a market "fludded" with home consoles, maybe a portable that's more powerful than usual , aka tablet, will be the logical way for Nintendo. I'm definitely a HC guy by far, but wouldn't turn my nose up at a decently powered tablet.

Os not wrong, 6 Tf is 1.8. Tf more Than 4.2... And yeah, this is kinda worrying since I dont make that kind of money to be buying consoles that often. |
Yeah he corrected me. I read it as 1.8 times more, not 1.8 more. That is because talking about performance in terms of total flops makes no sense. The PS4 also has ~1.8 Tflops more than the PS2, but obviously the difference between a PS2 and a PS4 is much bigger than the difference between the PS4 Pro and Scorpio. Hence why I'm talking about the relative power difference, ie. the Scorpio is 43% more powerful than the Pro.

There are so many devices now who can play Audio CDs its really not necessary to have it built in, unless Sony actually maked something usefull like BC for PS1 games which they never planned to do in the first place. My PS3 or PC can play and rip audio CDs which in turn i can put the music on a USB stick to be played on the PS4 |
I find it necessary to have that functionality build in, if you don't? Great. That's you, but I have different needs/wants/desires and nothing you say will change that.
I only keep a single "main" console in my lounge room, the other consoles go into the games room, this is to keep things neat and tidy.
Besides my Receiver only has a single Optical Audio Port, would be a nuasance if I had to keep unplugging crap and plugging other crap in just to play back Audio discs don't you think?
Your way is messy and simply unnecessary.
Adding Audio Disc compatability doesn't add much if anything to the costs either, for now the Xbox One will continue to be my primary machine in my lounge room untill Scorpio drops, because it can do everything I want. - Sony had the chance to push it out of my living room and they dropped the ball, plain and simple. (And I had high-hopes for the PS4 Pro to be the console to rule them all.)

We need the Scorpio to drop before you can actually make a proper power difference analysis. Using only Flops is inaccurate and silly.
