Nintendo is doing what they've always done. They've always been the "family" console. Since day one, this has been the case. I've brought this up before by mentioning that on the back of the NES box, it showed a family playing the system and even mentioned how it's the perfect console for everyone in the family. People are either too young to remember all this, or have had their minds clouded by the fact that over the years, they've become hardcore gamers, but it's a fact. Nintendo goes after the core gamer AND the mother, father and sister. They're not just after us, they're after everyone and that's why you don't see a uber high end machine, marketing as the home for dark, mature AAA third party games. They don't WANT that... it's not what they do.
If that's what you want, you're in the wrong place. Go get an Xbox One of PS4 or both.
