Forums - Gaming - I predict the 32GB NX rumor is true, but not the only option

This is kind of old news, and you probaby know already. It has been rumored that the NX will only have 32gb of internal hard drive.

Simply put, I think that since this has been rumored information on the developer kits, that much like the 8GB wii u compared to the 32 gb wii u that there will be a better NX and with more memory at launch. I feel they only used 32 gb of storage for the dev kits to save money. It makes sense to me, and it's likely the NX will have a 32 gb option and maybe a 250 gb nx at launch, just how the wii u launched.

I wouldn't be surprised if it has 32GB with options for external hard drives.

yeah but If the hybrid rumor is true, the nx will have to use sd cards

I guess, but would really a console/handheld hybrid really be like Iwata said "a new way of playing games"?

Please no, I never bought digital games because of that, only NES Remix.
and no, I will not buy a freaking standalone HD

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Maybe that's just the form factor and there's more. Could be Augmented reality, parallax screen, freeform displays portable with a HD projector... you never know with Nintendo.

Even it's very possible that final product will have more internal memory than dev kits, I think 250GB is not realistic at all because NX almost certain will have cartridges, and with cartridges you dont need to instal phicical games on internal memory like you need with PS4/XB1 so you dont need huge internal memory, and Nintendo will defiatnly want to cut cost in order to have much more afordible price. Not to mention fact that most of Nintendo Wii U games are around 5GB, also is important fact that you can conect basicly any extaranal memory to Wii U, so for NX I can see in best case that will have 128GB of internal memory (flash memory like Wii U, not HDD), so people relly need to expect 32GB or 64GB or 128GB.

The 2 SKUs strategy didn't work with Wii U, and I think Nintendo won't repeat it. The use of SD cards and HDD support will be Nintendo's answer to those that demand more capacity.

That said, they can go with a model like Sony and MSoft and launch newer models with more internal storage, but only after launch.
