Forums - Nintendo - Emily Rogers: Nintendo still plans to support Nintendo 3DS through 2018

If they are suporting the 3DS, the Wii U or even the freaking NX they better start announcing games. Because until then, its nothing.

I must say that Nintendo's communication strategy went completely down the toilet without Iwata. They aren't doing a very good job at all. It sounds more like they don't know what to do.

You forgot "subject to change".

Yeah support probably means that it will still get OS updates but that's it :)

I have a really reliable source who agrees with this.

Yes I heard Nintendo say it, so it must be true ;)

They barely support it now in 2016. I don't even expect to see it in production then.

Yeah I made this statement because Nintendo's definition of support is quite different to what most people consider support.

What about the Wii U?

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Does she even mention her sources? Also, I don't feel very confident when she says that it could change, which means that if she's wrong it's because the facts changed. Also, she was wrong about there being a female Link in Breath of the Wild, so she does not have 100% accuracy.

Emily Rogers is full of shit, I've said it before and I keep saying it again. She just says vague things that everyone forgets about because none of her claims or predictions are ever particularly detailed or unique. I mean, duh, Nintendo is going to support the 3DS for at minimum 1-2 more years? that's not much of a prediction because its obvious, the system still commonly sells 100k a week and has a big popular library of software

if she ever actually makes a prediction or claims to be leaking something NEW or UNIQUELY special then maybe I'll take it more seriously. But that won't happen. Its just vague vague vague to get attention
