I wish, i have travelled for around 50 hours planet to planet between black-holes and i always find small creatures... I did find a giant gargoyle with tiny wings, it was terrifying but Herbivor.  No dinosaurs or giant animals so far... I think i have a record in finding crabs and flying paracites.

Sean said that how you begin the game and play the game affects how the game is for you. I would assume that if you shoot more creatures eventually you'll get more aggressive creatures or if you search out monuments you'll get more monuments.

You could mine stuff with the ship, since the start. But the distance the ships weapons, was limited.

True. It was also extremely slow

Planets now tend to look as you would imagine from a distance and when you land there is no noticeable 'square' sections of textures loading in. All in all it feels far smoother when landing on planets.

No i honestly doubt that, the only creatures i have shot was in self-defence and birds which i didn't do for the first 20 hours of the game, and you probably know why i had to kill birds. But the animals i find is 50/50, there are more herbivors then predators but the few predators i meet is very aggressive, the bigger they are the more they will ignore you unless if you shoot them, but the small ones have a tendency to be like chihuahua's, aggressive but tiny and annoying.

It's just that the planet's i have been on haven't exactly favored me so far.

I don't like needing patches. It's bad for the gamers and for the developers. For those that do not have internet, this is especially troubling. This may be few, but none should be treated as second class. A complete game is worth waiting a little longer for, I think. Like what Square is doing with FF15.

As for the developers, look how it has impacted Street Fighter 5 sales. No vs cpu or arcade mode at launch has crippled sales. This should have been a 2 million seller at least, but it's struggling to reach a million according to vgchartz. It may not. For a legendary series main entry, this is poor. They just added the vs cpu after months of waiting. No arcade mode yet.

Well you'd better get used to it because this game is based entirely on having regular updates and improvements. It's what Hello games set out to do and it's why this game is so good.

After playing this for several hours now I can say with certainty the graphics have improved. There is more density in foliage and other assets, more diversity of colour, more detail and a bigger selection of co-ordinated colours on each planet, including subtle gradations of a base colours. The lighting has also improved as has sound effects such as footfalls in large caverns. The overall sharpness and draw distance has also improved.

The "redeem bonus content" message is gone! Good riddance. Landing is smoother, but I seem to have hit a streak of barren planets. Hopefully that's not a side effect from the patch.

Is there a way to get rid of a waypoint in the galaxy map?

Well that was fast. I'm pretty sure they're moving as fast as they can after all the refunds.

I think the size of the foliage varies more too, as well as more foliage sprinkled between the larger clusters.
