Kinet is a great technology for certain things.... but not for gameing.

Hololense is the same.
Great technology but... not for gameing.

VR actually works with gameing in mind.
Hololense doesnt make sense on a gameing machine.

AR is ment for your phone and tablet, imo.
Pokemon go proves that.

I believe the problem with Kinect is not the hardware but the software and and the Xbox. To have a device trully map your motions is the holly grail but in order for it to do so, it needs way more power than then the current Xbox had at that time. Kinect with VR would be the the ideal setup and who knows someone might build such a device. As for games, Kinect needed VR to complete itself. To many gaming companies tried to shoehorn traditional mouse/ keyboard or even gamepad type games to the device which always made Kinect feel tacked on. I would love for MS to bring back the device using their AR hololens or even use it with a VR solution and upgrade the software recognition for faster response.

Totally disagree that AR is not ment for gaming.  Are you telling me the experience of having a Hololens for Pokemon go would make that experience even better than trying to see a Pokemon on your phone.  Yes you would look totally stupid throwing pokeballs unless other people had the hololens but if they did then the experience would be great.  Actually something like Pokemon Go would be the killer app for something like Hololens if it was priced at a consumer level.

Yeah, it does make you look really silly. I would know. I had to try using it once, and I felt really dumb.

But it was one of the reasons why XBO didn't do so well, so in the long run I'm not sure how profitable it was.

Well, I mean when it 1st came out on the 360... The way they set it up with the XBO was just ridiculous, and partially cost them the race. And it could have been that people just grew tired of the device.
