HA! I love Bill Bailey.

Might pick up the game today. Theres a trade in deal for it. Uncharted 4 and Uncharted NDC and 10 bucks for NMS. Not great, but I'm not going to play them again I think anyway.

Seriously, if there was a case of reviewers not getting it, this is up there. Give it the time it deserves and just let the game absorb you, you'll love it.

I really love the exploration part of it. Its just not looking for one thing. Planets, new species, resources and just beautiful places.

Is online a must for this game?

No, my son plays it offline. If you want to find out more of the nuances for the game look in Swordf1sh's NMS thread. I've added some new info there on how to reach the weirder and lusher planets. Go with the Atlas route. You can veer off and still come back to it later. Just progress it far enough to get all the equipment you need to explore those 18 quinillion planets. Ahem ... and let the force be with you (embarrassing).

Ill just follow my instincts with the first try. If it doesn't work out, Ill check out the thread.

That's fine but remember you'll need to update your hyperdrive to explore planets further out. The normal hyperdrive can only keep you on a path for a certain class of planet.

I only found that out yesterday and have now updated my hyperdrive ready to explore further out. The problem is I've found a really pleasant and beautiful planet and don't want to leave.

The next update improves the graphics, adds base buildiing and owning freighters, all for free. ;)

So there isnt any kind of fast travel I gather?
