Im certain that if you loose your file, you loose your ship.

I'm currently in the middle of expanding mine =P, this is all I got so far after having recently completed some quests to get new crew members.

Yeah, I know if you completely lose your file, you lose everything. On this file, I played and beat the game with a friend, and since we finished it, he added mods to the game and had to delete his file. When he did that, for some reason I lost the shortcuts to the outpost and our main base on a planet on my file, thus losing everything I stored there. So now I have my main ship as a base incase that happens again for whatever reason.

Awesome, looking forward to seeing the results of your base :D Also, have you gotten a chemist crew member? All this time I've been playing I've gotten every single one except the Chemist. T_T

Waiting for a reduction to £5 is a bit much and will take some time considering the game has been that price for the apst few years. 

That's a good point, I need to check on my crew professions, I know I have an engi and a hired penguin apart from some others.

Also, found this abandoned sandcastle house...

As well as its secret treasure.

Also found a bone biome, with creepy creatures and angry bone villagers.

As I continued exploring the planet, I came across an Avian village, but I've never been to this kind of village. It had buildings and structures I have not seen before with them, like a friendly temple-like village. The homes in this style village definitely look cool.

And last, doing some quests and taking out big groups of enemies xD

1.1 is live for the game, meaning there are some new features, including...!

• Fishing
  • Two tiers of fishing rods are now craftable from the Foraging Table and can be used to fish on ocean planets (including arctic, toxic and magma oceans)

  • Rare fish can give valuable rewards, including reel and lure upgrades to enhance your fishing rod

• Collections
  • New Collections interface tracks various kinds of collectables including captured pets, figurines, fish, cooking recipes, fossils, and bugs

   

• Added the Relocator tool, which allows non-hostile creatures such as critters, fish, bugs, and farm animals to be moved
