Forums - Nintendo - I really don't like the new computer AI in Brawl.

It is more of a challenge than a FFA in melee, the problem is they don't give you any choice. In melee you can set it to be 3v1, in brawl that's the only choice. There is no FFA option.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

So, I just tested it again, and I've discovered that vagabond is ONLY right if you run away. Would anyone like me to record a video of this to them and send it to them?

edit: I'm recording a video anyway, so if anyone wants a video be sure to trade Wii friend codes with me.

As far as lag online, I have NEVER experienced lag with certain people vagabond.  My friend in Florida and I play completely lag free without issues.  If you experience constant lag, sorry to tell you, but you are the cause and you have a bad internet connection.

So are you suggesting, naznatips, that the AI can smell fear?

It can tell when people are trying to get distance from the battle.  I always chase people who do this as well.  For example, MakingMusic loves to run away and shoot with Pit.  If you do this, I will stop fighting everyone else and go for you.  The AI does the same thing.  If you run from the battle, they chase.

Just saved the replay.  Half the match we were divided into 2 1 on 1 groups. Other times I would be completely uninvolved in the fights. Please anyone who doesn't believe me trade friend codes.  I'd be happy to send you this match.  You as well Vagabond if you insist on continuing this claim.

Sounds just like Melee. (well, they followed the current winner around relentlessly there)

The original Smash Bros. had the best computer AI.

Yeah I'm like that with Samus. I was much better with her in Melee though. Pickachu is another good "annoying" character. Especially with his thunder.

But I'm still inclined to think they target human players whether they're running away or not. I mean, when I get completely taken out by 3 lvl 9 comps while playing 5 stock, and some of the computers still have all 5 lives, it seems weird that they aren't at least semi targeting themselves.

Not that I really like playing comps anyway.

What's your Wii friend code? I've got a match where they never targeted me once until I had 1 life left and was running away with the highest percent. It was a 2 stock match 3 CPUs lvl 9. Honestly, it looks just like any other match.

mine is 8857-6462-5890-0518

I would ask for it (because I am curious), but I'm not at school right now, so Idon't have the high speed internet, and I left my Wii at school. Hold on to it for 2 days and I'll get it Sunday night.

I don't want those retards fighting each other while I try to kill them. Ever since the original Smash Bros on N64 I have ALWAYS put any enemies on a team against me. Usually that meant 3 level 9 Bowsers. How can you get better at killing them while they're ganging up on you when they fight each other the whole time? The only major difference I've noticed is that enemies no longer abuse certain moves as badly. Bowser's fire breath used to be a pain in the ass, as it was just about the only thing he'd ever use. He barely uses it at all anymore.
