Forums - Nintendo - I really don't like the new computer AI in Brawl.

They know that they suck and you're the real threat so they try to take you out first. ;)

OT: How do you get your Brawl mains into your sig?

Kimi wa ne tashika ni ano toki watashi no soba ni ita

^ROFL----thats classic

Sad to say, if I'm just playing by myself I'm probably going to pop melee in, and just use brawl for multiplayer and online.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Well, ganging happens in online too. Never played against Maxwellgt2000 and his friend Flame? J/K

Honestly, I've never noticed this. I kill the computers before they can do something to me anyway. Flawed AI is the result of lack of tHe CeLl!!!1 power.

Why Brawl with computers when you can Brawl with real people online?  Time?

Finding people. I can almost never get into random games, and if none of the VGchartz crew is on, then it's a bust. Plus sometimes the lag is unbearable. The addition of lag completely changes the game and how it's played. Wifiwars actually just had an article on that, talking about the difference between online and offline tactics. Things that would get you your ass handed to you offline work great online, and the other way around. It's just a completely different play style and experience.

Thank Gawd! It's not just me. I was doing that too last night (me vs 3 bots) and in Melee it was usually fairly easy to win if you wanted to be cheap and hide while they knock each other out, but in Brawl you can't leave the action for more than a couple seconds and then they are all on you in force.

I thought maybe I just sucked, but one on one I totally smoke a level 9, but free for all vs 3 bots I struggle hard just to come in second, usually came in third. Now I know why. That is too bad they changed it like that, but maybe they didn't want people racking up 'cheap' wins??

So, in fact they made the AI better?

Who cares if you're racking up wins offline against 3 bots? There is no leaderboard to brag about your wins on, you don't get anything significant for winning a bunch of offline matches. Who cares if you fight cheap against a bunch of bots? There is no good reason to make it so the computers are always on their own team. It was just a bad design choice or lazy programming, one or the other.
