Well, sitting for hours waiting for big hard drives to format and windows to install has at least given me the chance to beat Professor Layton and play other various DS games I forgot about.

Yeah never get Maxtor drives. Western Digital seems to be the most reliable, in my experiences. Seagate is good too, but if they didn't have the 5 year warranty, I wouldn't buy them. Sorry to hear you had a problem at all. Glad to hear that you shifted away from Vista.

Did you like the Layton ending?  I thought it was awesome. ^_^

Yes, the story was a lot better than I originally thought it would be...definitely a great game.

Holy crap! I couldn't get the ethernet port figured out, but after downloading what I thought was totally a wrong driver, it works! So now I'm typing from my own PC!

Not much left to work out now...just installing some programs that I'll need later on...think I'm finally ok though.

Maxtor = FAIL

All the Maxtor that I have ever bought have failed. Went to Western Digital Raptors running Raid 0. Haven't had a problems since. Plus 10,000 RPM is fast!!

Hmm I think I have a Maxtor but my PC is like... 7-8 yrs old and it didn't fail. I guess I have luck or something. Now if my sound problem could go away...

Also, Vista isn't great at all. My bf has it and I dislike it. I really hope that the next OS Vienna will be good. I heard they're making it on a new kernel. Is it true?
