Forums - Gaming - Rockstar has "future projects" revealing "soon", GTA Online has record quarter

Rockstar Games also is hard at work on some exciting future projects that will be revealed soon.

“Fiscal 2017 is off to a solid start, with first quarter net revenue up 13% year-over-year,” said Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two. “Our results were driven by the continued strong performance of Grand Theft Auto V and NBA 2K, coupled with growth in revenue and bookings from recurrent consumer spending, including record bookings from Grand Theft Auto Online.

GTA ONLINE just as popular as ever. But we know this judging by how high in the charts it always is. I seen someone say "who even plays gta 5 anymore" . Where the answer is a lot.

Only thing i see is tons of people wasting way to much money on sharks, i don't care if People see this as offensive, that is their issue

PSN: Opticstrike90
Steam: opticstrike90

I bet the next Read Dead will be announced at the Neo reveal event.

"There is only one race, the pathetic begging race"

I just hope it's for example red dead redemption 2 and they announce it this year and are like, releasing March / April / May 2017. So there's fuck all waiting.

After doing nothing for years it's not acceptable announcing something for holiday 2017.

You know these blokes are just swimming in the dough. It's too soon for GTA6 so maybe RDR3. Maybe a new IP? Nah, that'd be something to show at E3. So RDR3 it is!

I just hate these news that GTA online is making even more money.

This online micro-transaction trend is so bad for gaming and diverts developer focus completely in the wrong direction.

Now it's guaranteed that Red Dead 2 will be filled with this online and micro-bullshit. But more importantly this has a huge effect on gaming development as a whole, and lots of single player games will be canceled for the online focus. The online focus that means a cynical design mentality that only aims to get the player hooked to just one superficial online world filled with empty cosmetics, skins and upgrades. Increasingly (just like Ubisoft and others have predicted) a few big games will dominate the market and steal all the revenue from smaller, much more sophisticated games.

Yeah it should be red dead.  Then in 3/4 years they'll release GTA 6 at the end of the gen.  I just hope we get one other rockstar game this gen before.  Table tennis 2 or Bully or a new IP like Agent.

Dear Rockstar,

could you define ''soon''? Because you have been saying ''soon'' for over a year now...

Ugh, just hurry up and announce them, you've said "announcements coming soon" like 3 times now, and the first time was way back in 2014... Seriously, Rockstar San Diego hasn't released anything since 2010 and Rockstar Toronto hasn't released anything since 2012, what's taking them so long?

Considering they are all drowning in money just with GTA V, they have no kind of hurry at all.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
