KC defense strutting it's stuff. They may not stop the yardage but they make important stops to stop points.

That's true, they run really hot/cold. They give up a TON of yards, but at key moments come up big with often bizarre plays, deflections, etc.

That really wasn't the story tonight though, aside from some bad ducks that Carr threw that were easily batted away. The OAK WRs were GOD FVCKING AWFUL tonight. I haven't watched a lot of the Raiders this year, but usually they're able to catch things in stride, well thrown quick balls in tight windows, etc, etc. Tonight it looked like they were replaced by random workers from a cafeteria from Billings, MT, and given four shots of whiskey and nyquil, while wearing gloves filled with lead. Just AMAZINGLY bad.

Wow. I expected the Chiefs to win, just because the Chiefs are kings of winning strange games.

But what I didn't expect was for the Raiders to turn back into their perennial 4-12, 3-13 kind of dumpster fire. WOW they were garbage tonight, at basically every level. Carr looked bad, Amari Cooper was TERRIBLE. Crabtree was bad. Their best player was L Murray, but even he looked really mediocre, with no agility or vision. Just an abominable performance that everyone should feel ashamed of. The 13 points they put up were undeserved. They deserve to have 0 points.

Someone's pissed because he started Carr and Cooper in fantasy.

Think positive. Mike321 started an Oakland WR as well, so he left lots of points on the table too.

As for my fantasy team:

Ware - Mediocre (6.3)
Murray - Very good (16.3)
Crabtree - Bad (2.1)

Combined - Mediocre (24.7)

Of course I disagree with you that Murray was mediocre. He rushed for over 100 yards and a TD. Too bad that the rest of my fantasy team didn't perform well, so the playoff hopes of all the 5-8 teams in our league look grim. I need to win for them to have a chance.

Eh, I don't really care much about the fantasy thing, or I would've started other players. OAK never plays great against KC, and I picked KC to win here of course. But my GOD were they horrendous tonight. Murray was absolutely mediocre tonight, did you see him just running straight into the backs of his blockers, or turning his body like he was afraid to make contact? Not a spin move, just a turn-and-give-up deal. That stat-line is really deceptive, because KC was pulling a ton of guys into the secondary to defend the (previously) feared Oakland passing attack. So there were massive opportunities for LM to get gigantic chunk yards. But there were no cuts, no dynamic play, no vision, no patience. Just a straight ahead half-hearted dash into whatever lay directly ahead, and 'plop'. Zeke Elliott would have gone for 240 yards tonight against that defense.

Oakland would've lost to the Browns tonight as bad as they played. Potentially in a blowout. KC really did nothing all that great to 'win' this game (though props to their DBs for some nice batted ducks). They simply laid back and watched OAK lay a fat turd on the field.

Yeah, I saw that one, and that's what I was expecting here. KC was playing with a passion in that game, and the Raiders actually looked good. The KC defense and special teams just made big plays on them, and just made it happen. In that game I'd give KC a 9/10 and OAK a 7/10 for performance, with enough key plays for KC to blow it open.

In this game? KC a 7/10, and OAK a 2/10. One of the worst NFL performances I've ever seen, and easily the worst of this year.

No, that one was in Oakland and a solid win for KC, and KC is much better at home. I thought it would be something like 27-13, but with key takeaways and special teams plays by KC for the win.

What we saw tonight was an utterly inept Raiders team looking like it's the 2-14 2006 team.

I'm a Dallas fan of course, and they are going to be gunning for blood against a beat-up Giants team. If I was worried about that FF team, I would have started Dak. Starting Carr on purpose against KC in KC would just be stupid if you wanted results. About 8 points would be expected from a typical outing there. Because of all of the random weeks where my team put up huge points and then edged out by constant huge performances by opponents, I stopped caring about this FF team a long time ago. I have had the most, or second-most points in the league, but have had bad enough luck to lose a ton of games, making it basically a worthless train-wreck.

I have two other teams that I actually care about. :

1st place : http://fantasy.nfl.com/league/3959965/team/10
1st place : http://fantasy.nfl.com/league/3959665/team/3

Eh, it's not intentional tanking, it's just indifference. I stopped making changes to my lineup or looking for players before week 13. After so many crappy weeks interspersed with okay weeks, it seemed like a waste of time to worry about this particular one with my other two much more interesting.

Meh, that game was pretty boring. But pretty much every thursday night game has been; surprised that I even bother tuning in anymore.

Haha, that's one way to look at it. It's just been frustrating to constantly be on the side of either having a huge week, but my opponent has an INSANE week at the same time, I'll find some and recap below the many horrendous joke weeks :

Week 1 : Get 104, opponent gets 106 (the only week my brother logged in, LOL, so I got the worst of it)
Week 4 : Get 90, opponent gets 110 (highest FF score for Julio Jones ENTIRE CAREER LMAO)
Week 6 : Get 90, opponent gets 99 (random scrub RBs on his team both get 20+ out of nowhere, while Sproles gets 2.5 against a team with notoriously bad defense)
Week 9 : Get 119, opponent has 138 for their highest of the season by a landslide
Week 11 : Get 100, opponent gets 22 points in defense to get 113 total, their highest of the season
Week 12 : Get 80, but three key scorers lay complete turds, lose by 3 points to you

I've scored just over 1% less than Noble with my starting rosters, yet have 6 losses instead of 2. It's almost comical :)

I am thinking about how to curse teams I want to lose by using this particular league to start those players.

Didn't think I would regret that as much as I did after the game ended. The only reason I started him was because Sanders of the broncos had 20+ points against the chiefs, and I naively thought "hey maybe this Oakland WR will have a good game against the chiefs as well" but no. Oh well I don't expect any of my benched WR to do great so this may not hurt a lot.

Every team (yes, Cowboys included) have had at least one game this year where they've looked awful and either lost or didn't deserve to win. It happens. Heck, it was just two years ago that the eventual Super Bowl champs lost 41-14 in the same place where Oakland got beat by 8 tonight. Everybody's going to have a down week eventually, and while we may not be able to anticipate when it will come, it really shouldn't evoke this level of surprise. Concern, perhaps (I'm not entirely convinced that Carr's gotten over his thumb injury), but not surprise.

Not a season-high for Noble, a season-high for his defense that week. Normally scores 3-6 points, scored 22 that day lol :)

You can call it whiny, scoring 80 points but having three key players that normally score 15+ ALL completely tank on me IS annoying. Scoring 100+ but losing against teams that have freakish best of the year breakouts is a little annoying as well. Noble's lineup is absolutely the best thanks to the high output of Zeke and the Falcons combo.

It's just not interesting to me personally, to be having a randomly underperforming team that has the 2nd highest score in the league tied to a horrendous record. If I had a lower-performing team with the same record I'd actually feel a lot better about it to be honest, because I could maximize the strategy, get the best results I can, and if I didn't make it, oh well. I have the most irritating roster in the league :D

It's not like draftkings where there's any real value in actually winning either. Aside from this, people have very rarely even discussed the FF league aside from you. Discussing it is actually a lot more fun than logging in and being puzzled as to why high-scoring player X or Y suddenly puts up an egg in a super favorable matchup, or how some scrub player suddenly put up 22 points out of their butt.
