Not great results when you look at them properly are they.

Exactly. I don't see why the stock is up 5% when earnings were 1.80$ a share last year.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

They expect 45.5 billion-47.5 billion for the next quarter (revenue).

Apple "other products" revenue (including Apple Watch) down 16%. Mac revenue down 13%.

How does that compare YoY? Anywho, now's as good a time as any to exit any AAPL positions one might have. The iPhone (and their stock) has peaked, and it will probably go downhill from here for awhile, until they possibly find their new mega hit (though that is certainly not guaranteed). Of course you'd be better off if you sold a year ago, but that's not how I think when I buy/sell stocks. You'll never be able to maximize potential profit by buying and selling at the  exact right time, so being in the right ball park and making money off of it is where it's at.

Failure by Apple standards.  Needs a rethink.  Actually smartwatches as a thing need a rethink in general imo, pointless.

Apple gained their fame by introducing new ideas, or showing a very simplistic yet captivating take on existing ones. The Watch failed to do to smartwatches what the iPhone did for phones. It needs a big rethink.

IPad sales continue to fall.

Q3 2014 13.28m
Q3 2015 10.93m
Q3 2016 9.95m

Mac's always seem to be about 4m

iPhones down by 7m yoy to 40m

iPad sales below 10 million? Didn't we see these numbers back in 2012?

China revenue dropped off a cliff. Down $4.38bn, or 33%.

Stock still up 5%. Guess investors expected hell from these earnings, as what we're seeing awful. Also thanks for updating this thread. I'm currently on my phone, so it takes forever to type.

Worst q3 since q3 2011. Q3 peak was q3 2012 at 17.04m.

Pretty awful numbers indeed...

Apple is still doing pretty well. Apple just needs to introduce more cheaper models like the SE for people and keep expanding in their software.
