Sigh, I knew they were going to find a way to ruin this series, and now they're already off to a bad start. This ship design is just not that good, the design language feels more Klingon than Starfleet. Who designed this thing?

Not only is the design bad, but the CGI is quite poor. Come on CBS, this is 2016, not 2006. Star Trek is hugely popular, I think you can afford to spring for a decent budget for something as popular as Star Trek.

Have you considered the possibility that it's MEANT to feel more Klingon? Maybe Discovery is going to be a ship that has a stronger Klingon presence?

I'm not particularly concerned one way or another about the ship design... but the series name gives me hope. "Discovery" would be a poor name for a Starfleet ship that isn't exploring strange new worlds, seeking out new life and new civilisations, and boldly going where no-one has gone before. I don't want a space soap opera, I don't want a space western, and I don't want a space action flick. They need to get back to the TOS/TNG formula, even if it incorporates more multi-episodic arc elements.
