How surprising of you ... I wonder how the moderators didn't ban you from topics with ''Paper Mario Color Splash'' in it.

Because that would be silly.

I'm all for this game. A select few of the Paper Mario fanbase is just being sour and whiny.

A select few? Are you sure about that? And excuse us for wanting good games and not tolerating bullshit.

EDIT: That last sentence applies to the OP as well.

You know, obviously there's no convincing you...so why even try? It's not worth my time. You don't like it, others do...welcome to the f#$@%^% internet.

What are you going on about? I'm correcting your incorrect statement and explaining why we're saltly, not asking for you to convince me of something.

Again pointless battles....and more generic toads.

Battles increase your paint reserves, wich means you become stronger with every battle, that's almost like leveling up.

Been there, done that. I know where this is going. If I tried to say the game wasn't a bad game and wasn't bullshit, of course you'd come at me with reasons why it is. Which is fine. But when we keep using our subjective opinions as fact, that's when I turn my head.  I've been around the block a couple of times, especially on youtube. The fanbase is really sour and won't listen to any reason beyond their own. I knew where it was gonna go before it even started.

But you waste pain making cards :) or wasted cards you already have, and also from all the gameplays and videos that I had see you can collect paint in the overworld, which means there is no point for battle(except for boss battles which require you use a special card if not you are wasting more time.)

It increases the LIMIT of your paint reserves, you may start with 50 or something and you can't have more paint, wich limits you in battle, but every time you win a battle there is a bar that fills a bit, and when is full the overall paint reserve limit increases, it also looks like you start using one card for your attacks but with time you will be able to use 2 cards at once and they suggested that you will be able to use more, not sure if that's related to the number of battles you win however attacks with 3 painted cards at time looks like will drain your paint pretty quick so you wanna have a big reserve.

And btw, while is true that there are too many generic Toads, in that video they are already dressed different from your pic and is not like Toads clothes are gonna ruin a game, it would be better with more varitey that's for sure.

You're making a cop out for an argument we're not even having? Okay then! Also I wouldn't go around saying we don't listen to reason if you're not going to provide any to listen to and are likely doing the same yourself towards our arguments.

It's good that they created somewhat of reason for battling, but it's only somewhat, since you can find paint literally everywhere. You can say skipping battles will limit you in battles, but that kinda doesn't matter when you're skipping battles. Plus, a lack of incentive is only half the problem with the battles, they're still as barebones and monotonous as they were in Sticker Star.

Looks quite engaging and fun tbh.

So, a light RPG system... mhhhmmm

Guess with this and what I saw is enough to justify my recent interest. Wish they had a proper overworld and more heavy rpg battle system, but eh...
