I seriously doubt that Dreamfall Chapters doesn't run well on an GTX 1080. With all settings maxed out in 1080p, it even ran on my GTX 970 (~50% performance of an GTX 1080) with 60 - 100 fps in most areas. Marcuria at night was a bit more demanding, still 40 - 50 fps there.

For an adventure game with focus on exploration and storytelling anything more than 30 fps is good enough. And I doubt that the announced PS4 version will have 1080p 60fps.

I don't need 30, more than 5 though and distortion free sound so I can hear what they're saying :)
Anyway good to know there will be a ps4 version, I don't mind double dipping.

For me too, but those frame rates and loading times in multiplats though. And as much as I never cared about grafix, the difference is too large to not care, it is especially noticable in first person games where you notice the big difference in things like resolution and depth of view.

More or les my take on the current view of things. I found PC gaming to be a bit irksome years ago but these days I find it more pleasing with the free online, mods that are in abundance and all the other vendors I can shop from. Modding is even easier these days thanks to Nexus Mod manager updating over time as well as there even being a mod organizer like LOOT that works with NMM and sorts your mods out, even then we also have Bethesda.net with their mod client built into Fallout 4 for example and eventually Skyrim special edition.

Probably the best time to be a PC gamer tbh.

It's been nearly 4 and a half years now since I last owned a home consoles, that might change with the NX but it might not and tbh I'm comfortable sticking with my setup since it's getting me by and I'm not really missing out on anything I've never had any interest in. Most games I have an interest in these days end up on PC sooner or latter along with emulation being a thing for years.



Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
