Well, you know, it invented the "Over-the-shoulder view" and that's great. That benefited lots of games so, like, RE4 it's awesome in that way.

Ocarina of Time was a revolution for 3D gaming, and led the way to many future (now present) designers.

Somewhat, but not entirely. It was Aonuma's idea to bring Zelda back to its roots, and once development started, they chose a team with new designers, which they all use more modern techniques and approaches to the game.
It's something like that, I don't completely remember the story
