Forums - Sony - I AM SETSUNA - who buy it ?

Just watched the Jimpression of Setsuna and I'm a lot more inclined to buy it now. There seems to be quite a bit of complexity in gameplay which I didn't know. The playtime is apparently around 30-40 hours but I don't know if that's a normal runthrough or completion. If it's more with completion I might buy it very soon.

The (squire key / X key) after doing a attack or tech, will use momentum points.

I didnt understand that at first, once you get that down and the timeing of when to use them, it makes it so much easier (and more fun) :)

(I used to love the timeing of attacks, in paper mario games too)

Its also enjoyable walking around and finding materials (worldmaps & in towns ect, plus tresure chests).

Also always try to end combat on a momentum kill or a overkill, status effect ect, to get better loot drops.

Game seems well made, and theres enough complexity too it as well.

Enjoy it Veknoid Outcast.

That's more of a completion run. If you want to clear the story it's more like ~25 hours.

I got it and it's a lot of fun. I think people are missing out when they dismiss for it's looks.

I'm just now looking this, and it looks NICE. I too am more of a physical media person. But when a games is digital only, then I have no problems with it because I really don't have a choice. But when I do pick up a PS4, I see myself buying this when it goes on sale.

imo Digital games either need to be gog or steam.

That way you ll "always" have them (dont see gog or steam going down anytime soon).

Theres a steam edition of "I am Setsuna".

£33 on psn, while I'm interested and like the look of the old Skool style RPG, this price is too much. Hopefully it will drop but I doubt it only being able to buy from PSN.

I wouldn't dismiss it for the looks, it looks fine. But I'm skeptical about the amount of content. Are there a lot of secrets or side qests? Ultimate weapons to find? Optional hard bosses? Special dungeons?

It looks cool, but i'll be waiting for a serious price drop. I also don't pay much for digital games.

2nd part was more of a general statement on the reception rather than a directed response to you.

There seems to be a decent amount of options. I haven't reached the end of the game, so I haven't looked too far ahead to avoid spoilers.
