Forums - Gaming - How Ubisoft deceived millions of people (Downgrades)

Most developers have downgrades, but since Ubi has so many high profile IP's and games, they get the most shit for it. That, and the downgrades have been pretty severe as well.
But, their biggest crime by far i Uplay, the only service/DRM that manages to be worse than Origin in every single aspect.

"Most developers have downgrades", it's right there in the post you quoted. Some games actually look the same or even better when they release, as was the case with Uncharted 4, for instance. The practice seems more common among developers/publishers who have a vast enough catalogue and customer base to not care as much.

I can't believe how dull the graphics are in the released version of Watch Dogs is compared to the E3 demo

I've boycotted all Ubisoft games for a few years now until they shove uDontPlay where the sun don't shine.
It's so horrible. x.x

The downgrades have been common knowledge for awhile now, graphics don't seem to be all that important to allot of gamers as long as the game is good and they can play with mates.

I actually like EA more than Ubisoft. Heck even Activision.

Same, I haven't found a need to buy a Ubisoft game as long as they continue using Uplay. Also the constant downgrades that end up also demanding more power for those with higher spec setups is something I don't really desire supporting.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

I am tired of this, i don't care anymore.
I don't buy Ubisoft games anymore. The last game i bought was AC:Black Flag

Now i think all developers should do the same. Hype games with lies

Smoke Win! Ubitality!!

In Sony We Trust!

Reasons why I never buy Ubisoft games

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Here's the thing

Their games look good. I don't think they look bad at all. It's just annoying when they lie and make it seems far superior than it actually is

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

They'll keep doing it as long as people keep buying their games.
