The internet- the place where one person can cause a flood of trolls to appear with hatred and stupidity. 

 

I decided to watch the new Ghostbusters movie. I was scared it will suck, but after seeing it, I realized it was meh. I had the same thoughts for the other 2 ghostbusters movie. It's shocking to see that people hate it so much without even watching it.

 

 

I also bought Sticker Star a few days ago. On the internet, it's considered "unplayable" and people claimed it was the worst mario game ever. I found it on sale for 14 bucks and thought I'd give it a chance. Turns out, it's a great paper mario game. While not on the level of TTYD, it's certainly a change that works. I'd give it a 8/10, which is far from 'horrid'. Not only that, but a great 3ds game for 14 bucks is a steal.

 

Now, with that set aside, what experiences have you had which have caused you to never trust the Internet for opinions?

Why would I trust strangers any way? I can make my own opinion easily.



Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Super Paper Mario used to get a lot of hate but I loved it (not as much as the first two but I still had a ton of fun). Now, it seems there are more Super Paper Mario lovers out there. I believe I got semi stuck in Sticker Star then moved to other games. I still need to go back and beat it considering it is the only Paper Mario game that I haven't beaten yet.

Pssh no wai. Internet is full of the most trust worthy people I know. Heck, if you don't believe me, just go the 4chan and read all of its posts. You will be the smartest person in the world after 15 minutes of being at 4chan.

Metroid Other M: (almost) Everybody hates that game, reviews were harsh, saying that is nowhere near the quality of Metroid Prime and I loved it! Way better that the Prime series (at least for me, I hate FPS anyway).
