Honestly the only good JRPG out on any next gen console right now is Lost Odyssey and I'd only give it an 8.0/10.0.

I thought Blue Dragon was truly dreadful, especially for anyone over the age of four. Just my take on it. I also hated that items and treasures weren't marked so you walked around the edge of the map pounding on the "A" button just to try to find a single piece of gold, etc.

Lost Odyssey was pretty good though. Definitely had great characterization although the story itself was weak.

And I'd prefer if Mistwalker didn't use Unreal Engine if they do another. Worked alright, but definitely not great.

 

But, words of wisdom,  I'd watch out on trying to antagonize playstation fans too much (stealth trolling--because you like to flaunt 360 rpg's excessively) because believe me, they will definitely have their share of JRPG's coming...(you reap what you sow...and playstation WILL have its RPG's in the future)

The 360 has a one year headstart...and really only one good JRPG to show for it.

With that said,  

Infinite Undiscovery and Tales of Vesperia both look promising, but neither of those are out yet either. 

I'm sure all 3 consoles will have wonderful RPG's in the future.

Sorry disagree. Very few JRPG's have good stories. No FF game has had an exceptional story. It's how they tell it. To me Lost Oddyssey is better than FF7. But also your forgetting how good Eternal Sonata is. Also Blue Dragons your opinion. It was a good game though to me. Apart from FF13 there's nothing convincing at the mo for PS3.

yet feel WKS a game made my Level 5 just "MAY" be great..

And I didn't say a word about FFVII.  Or any FF game for that matter.

And story may not be important to you, but it is the GREATEST factor for RPG's for me. 

IN MY OPINION...I didn't like Blue Dragon...Eternal Sonata was "alright"....I can name dozens of other RPG's I prefer because I felt that both Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata were too childish. 

I DID like Lost Odyssey.  Good mature game---but definitely not in my Top 10 all-time.

Anyhow, I didn't say you needed to agree with me, I just said you tend to make post where you stealth troll and try to grind into playstation fans that they don't have any JRPG's yet.  The time will come where they may strike back at you.  I don't care, but I was just trying to warn you.

Hmm The truth becomes stealth troll. It's funny how Fanboys of any system can be your friend when you say something good. But they turn when it's not so good.(I've upset fans from all 3) I'll say good and bad about any of the 3 consoles. As long as I'm not lieing. If it's any consolation I hope the PS3 gets loads of exclusive JRPG'S because I'm BUYING A PS3 WHEN FF13 IS RELEASED. See that BUYING A PS3. If LO is considered critically failure then what do you consider Sony own Level 5 Rogue Galaxy?  That was release on PS2 with massive install base not to mention on the king of "JRPG" console of last generation.  Only numbers I can find for Rogue Galaxy is that it barely did over 100k.   It was on clearance bargain bin after about 9 months.  (my only regret is not getting it for $15.00 when I saw it).

If what did selnor said consider a stealth troll then what would comment from darth be considered.  He proclaim LO and BD critical failure and he doesn't even have the console to play those games on.  Go makes a list of JRPG and only one I see on PS3 is Enchanted Arms.  He makes comment about mistwalker making exclusive games for 360 and that's a troll?  You don't see me up in arm and troll Final Fantasy trend because it's only on Sony PS3.

as last-gen I was a GC owner first & then got the Ps2 like in 06

i'm actually surprised how many great jrpgs the 360 has already. it seems like it already has more than the original XB had, and of better quality.

Cheers Mystic. some people look at facts and try and twist them. Look at my posts I didnt once say that any console sucked in anyway. I merely stated  actual JRPG content on both systems and added my opinion of how good some were. But at least others can see through the fanboys twisting innocent comments.
