Forums - Gaming - Favorite series that stopped making games

Unfortunately, developers sometimes put their franchises to rest. However, games are typically remembered by fans for a long, long time.

What are franchises you enjoyed that have stopped being updated? For me, Crash was probably one of the most memorable.

Not sure if my nostalgia from my childhood will still be there if I replayed the game, but it was still a great game regardless. Played through it all at least 10 times.

Edit: I didn't hear about the potential crash remakes and new games. That's neat. Might let my younger brother try the games out.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Does Crash count though? They just announced remakes for the first three games, so new games after those are pretty likely. I'll say Portal, because I don't think we'll ever see a Portal 3, sadly.

Friday the 13th... oh wait there's that crazy Kickstarter shit going down!

Wipeout

Jak and Daxter.

Suikoden.

Startropics

I think the biggest dissapointment here for most people would be Chrono Trigger.I mean, the first one is arguably one of the best games of all time, the best for some, and while I was personally dissapointed with Chrono Cross, it is still and excellent game and one of the best of the PS1.So not seeing Chrono Trigger 3(or Chrono Break if you like) is simply heartbreaking.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Wipeout

Sad but true :(

Wipeout 2048 was so damn good. It's such a shame that might be the last game in the series.
