This experiment worked perfectly.

I think that the lore can save the game. If it gets an interesting and well written lore, it'll be worth exploring bc won't be only about resources.

AND I WANT TO MEET ALIENS

What are the specs to run it on PC?

They haven't released them yet but it should be coming soon since the PC release isn't far off

Multiple sources are claiming specs wise:

  • OS: Windows 7
  • Processor: Intel Core i3
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: nVidia GTX 480
  • Storage: 10 GB available space

I was really hyped for this game until i heard it didnt have any building involved. This is a deal breaker for me when it comes to games like this. I love building my own bases and ships etc and with this aspect missing i feel like ill get bored just visiting planets and trading.

This along with the lack of interactive multiplayer is another downside for me. I love games like Minecraft, Terraria, Starbound and Ark allow for co-op and multiplayer as well as singleplayer experiences, especially given how games like Minecraft and Starbound are proceed gen games themselves. I'm actually looking very much forward to Starbound's 1.0 release because they are refining how you can connect with one another via your Steam friends list but at the same time allowing you to host your own server as well as being able to type in a server IP, basically giving you 3 different types of multiplayer options for a single game and to top it off you can play it as an SP one entirely with multiple characters like with Terraria.

I share the same sentiments with ye. I love exploring as far as the eye can see but at the same time I always have a desire to go around and gather resources, build whatever I want, wherever I want whenever. I love being able to customize my ships both interior and exterior (again something you can do in Starbound for example).

I am going to give this game a shot.

It could get boring after awhile but so do a lot of games so that's not going to stop me from trying it out because it could stay interesting for a long time as well.

I think the dev staying steady with a flow of updates will make or break this game in the long run.

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.

There were two: the first experiment was to start a negative No Man's Sky thread to see if certain people would post. They didn't as I suspected. The second experiment was to type a pithy remark like 'This experiment worked perfectly' to see if I could then spur those people to then try to prove the experiment wrong. 2/2.

So you intentially wanted to stir the pot and cause a ruckus with said people you disagree with or dislike?. Such an experiment isn't born from positivity, more like a rivalry or desire to annoy someone because they don't share your own pov/opinion.

Since the experiment was a success you should probably name names just to see for those who "participated".

'Ruckus' isn't the right word, try a different one.

Of course you'd try to make it about me not liking other people disagreeing because you don't understand grays. You can only live in black and white. From now on, when I start a No Man's Sky thread, I'll link this thread for you so you can repeat the same 'concerns' as many times as you like. I know how you work ... I've watched you carefully. Bait with decent prose and report when the reaction is what you wanted.

I specifically asked in the other thread, a thread I made an effort with because I intended it to become the official thread, for people to not discuss multiplayer. I also pointed out it was for fans of the game and you clearly are not a fan of the game. As soon as I saw mention of the multiplayer I knew you'd take the opportunity to reply and keep that conversation going just so you could yet again derail one of my No Man's Sky threads.

Well no because you could have simply been open and stated it being an experiment. The fact you tried to hide it and say "some people" makes me think that you created it to target a few of those people on purpose, why else would the experiment be anything apart from bad?. Why is supposedly aiming an entire thread at a few people on purpose anything related to being good for them and for us?.

You seem to get incrediably uppity whenever I ask you something or say something based on how you've presented yourself, whenevr this sort of thing happens you just go all out.

Why not just tell us who the experiment was specifically aimed at and for?, why is that so hard to explain, you said it was an apparent success, I'd love to know who it was aimed at and why.
