Don't you think that's a tall order? Not everything has to be No Man's Sky.

Not really. They don't have to be as expansive as No Mans Sky. Heck, it just could be like 2-3 dozen planets but making the travel be so seemless would be it wow worthy. If an indie dev can do it, Nintendo certainly can! Specially if its not as expansive.

Ooo, I like this thread idea :)

I'll have to brainstorm and post later.

Paper Mario: Just do what you did with the first two again, simple as that.

Tenchu: reboot it, update the mechanics (preferably more realistic), don't neglect the character development - or just give it to Miyazaki.

Metroid series:

1- Make a 2.5D Sidescroller-Metroidvania title for their next handheld (if there is one). This shouldn't take much resources and should please both fans and the media.

2- Make Metroid Prime 4 for the NX, just don't name it "4".
2.1- Outsource development to a talented western team, like Rocksteady
2.2- Have the Metroid Prime series producers/developers supervising the development

Extra: if possible, add online multiplayer to the game.

3- Actually market the games once they come out
3.1- Create hype for the reveal, like Zelda this E3. Speaking of which, E3 should be the best place to unveil it.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Sonic The Hedgehog:
1- Do the opposite.

Ew no.

Metroid would be so ugly in 2.5D. I'd really love to see a new one with really pretty pixel-art, it just fits Metroid.

I don't think so. I looked kinda good in some parts of Other M, and that was on the Wii. They could make it look very pretty on a modern handheld (with powerlevel around Wii U).

Oh no no no. Tenchu needs more than.

Tenchu went sour when new developers K2  not only not update mechanics from the PS1 entries. They turned it into anime ninjas. Originally speaking, the lore of Tenchu was based of Theatre dramas with minor super natural elements. Tenchu Fatal introduces us to Ninja with fire gauntlets... Really? What is the point of resurrecting Tatsumaru over and over again? Rikimaru has shit trapped in eye? Stupid. Tenchu Wii was actually pretty fun minus combat and sandbox design.
