Why don't you stop taking others opinions of a game and treating them like fact, go play the game and form your own opinion.

It's not that hard Ruler.

i almost played the wiiu version but canceled my preorder, let me wait a couple of months. Games like Gal Gun have priorities for me now

huh

Does that mean you're going to go play SO5?

Never trust reviewers. No matter how bad or how good anyone talks about a specific game. Many are just biased, and it´s hard to find one that is really impartial.

There are countless cases of highly praised games that I felt boring and uninspired, and other cases that games were doomed like garbage and ended being quite enjoyable to me.

Just read the descriptions and watch some extended gameplay videos too see if a game matches your tastes, that´s all.

Here's the truth.

This can't be repeated enough. Youtube is an invaluable resource for previewing games. Watch the footage (both for a general sense of it being appealing, as well as for any visual clues of jankiness) and listen to the players reacting to the controls (Sluggish / responsive? Intuitive or otherwise? Those are pretty common and important verbal cues.).
