^This. It's not a turn based option, so I'm not really sure who this appeals to.

Who does Tales appeal to? How about Star Ocean? .Hack? Kingdom Hearts? Dark Cloud?

I didn't kknow those had wait modes.

I like it, pleases more people. Don't know if I'll use it till I try it.

Well, to me, that's how I feel about the game. I really wouldn't even consider comaring FF1-10 to this game at all. Monster designs, maybe. Battle system, sure but not much else and apparently I'm not alone. If I were to play Final Fantasy 6 and 15, I'd probably never say "this game reminds me of Final Fantasy 15". They don't have the same style as they used to have. That's been known since FFXI onward. After Sakaguchi left.

Nomura even acknowledged the fact that everyone has their idea of what Final Fantasy is and what it means to them. You have yours, and I've got mine.

Sakaguchi left after Final Fantasy X, he was in the same position in the development of Final Fantasy X that he was in the other games.

That's kind of besides the point though. All I know is after Sakaguchi left, so did Uematsu and they didn't think FF was going in the right direction either. Lo and behold after a classic FF like X, XI comes out and XII and so on which are no longer turn based and take a more western approach. Which again, isn't a problem that I have with the newer games. Just stating what I've observed over the past few years.

Im going to wait before I decide on how I feel about this.

Let me tell you something.

You made the statement that wait mode is the only thing that resembles the classics. I have listed several elements of the classics that have made their way into to XV. That makes you wrong. I dont care that your not alone, I dont care that Nomura gave you blanket that you think your going hide under. What we are debating is not a matter of opinion or taste but a matter of "fact" and  factually your wrong. Absolutely wrong.

What makes you even blah, is that you have done nothing to defend your point. There is nothing un Final Fantasy about XV minus that battle system, which is coming along fine.

Let me tell you something sir,

You can't factualize opinions. You can't find in any database or online information depository where what you say is true and should be taken as fact. To me, this is NOTHING like classic Final Fantasy and that's MY opinion. I don't see why you can't take that at face value and move on with you life. Why is everything about "right and wrong"? Final Fantasy as a whole is a very opinionated series. If I think this game is nothing like Classic FF then that's what I think. Why would you ask how people feel about Wait mode if you weren't expecting opinions to be had? Like..what?

I cant tell if this is a communication thing or are you being Ignorant.

Your statement concluded that FFXV has nothing that resembles the classics: Summons all FF3, Monster designs all classic incarnations, 4 warriors of light plot again, Chocobos...? I dont care about your overall feeling of the game, but that "statement" is WRONG. There is no room for opinions in that statement. Thats why theres a wrong and right.

Is anybody else confused right now?

FFXII still turn based and is one of the best Final Fantasy games (gameplay wise), Final Fantasy XIII's critics were about how limited the Gameplay was so they decided to make something more free with this new Final Fantasy.

The only reason that Sakaguchi left Square Enix is that he was ashamed  because his movie was a failure and he made Square Enix lose a lot of Money, The money that Square Enix lost was enought to make Several games of the same budget as of Final Fantasy X.

Okay, sure it's not the ONLY thing. I was speaking more in terms of game mechanics than aesthetics. Yeah, there's Chocobos...and flying cars. I agree, it isn't the only thing. More of a communication error but my opinion outside of that still stands.

I can respect your opinion but I really didn't like FFXII at all. I guess by Turn based I mean more like the set character battles like 1-10. I feel it's more strategic to just worry about what choices you're making rather than trying to move around as well. I mean, I'll take either but something about FFXII really rubbed me the wrong way.

XIII was terrible. XIV is good. And I anticipate that XV will be good as well. I don't think that was the only reason he left though. Sure, it lost Square a ton of money and I would understand why he'd leave, even after bringing the company back from the brink to begin with, but he also noted along with Uematsu that they felt FF was going in a direction that they weren't excited to be a part of.

Great addition. There are so many things that you could do in combat, It could get confusing. This might come in handy to take a moment and think about your next move. Being able to issue commands to the other characters while "waiting" resembles turn-based combat. I can see myself enjoying that.
