Faxanadu, you asked why people wanted this for the Wii.

I told you many reasons why people wanted this for the Wii.

You singled out one of those reasons and apparently assumed I myself was stating it as an irrifutable fact and not a matter of opinion.

At the time I thought you were challenging the fact that RE has a stronghold on the Nintendo brand so for the sake of argument I defended that fact alone and presented the argument that the nintendo brand had an equal if not greater RE library which unlike Sony's isn't impeded by their latest console abandoning B/C with its latest SKUs.

We take this deviated argument down this path to its fullest before you finally get frustrated and try to side step growing mess before us by clarifying your stand on the matter and claiming my defense of a group's opinion based on an arguable fact was in fact me trying to assert that opinion itself as fact.

And thus we arrive.

While I support the opinion, I never defended it, only the fact it was based on. I don't know why that's so hard to understand.

 It makes sense if you say "360+RE5=$350". That is alot of money, 7 wii games worth of money. PS3 is even more. However if I own the Wii and the game comes to me that is $50. I want to get a PS3 for FFXIII but I wont until the game is out and the system is $200, backwards compatibility is in, and there are other exclusive games I want. If that never happens, then I wont get that system.  

Backwards compatibility was one of the big selling points when Ibought my PS2, and my Wii, and will be a negative for future purchases.

What you are missing is the fundemental problem for the 360 and PS3 this gen. Price. Not everyone can afford multiple game consoles. They may get games they like slightly less to keep playing the system that is affordable. Look at how well the PS2 is still doing.

I agree is makes sense to support the consoles with the most GAMES you like, no matter who makes them. rd parties are mercenaries and will go where the money is. For many Wii supporters like me Galaxy, Brawl, Kart, RE4 and others are far outweighing all the 3rd parties.

I´m thinking if RE5 is to ever show up on a Nintendo console,it´ll be on their next system,not the Wii.

Resident Evil 4 Classic is headed for 360 & PS3. RE4 is going to be one of the most milked game in the history of video games.
And mark my words, it will sell 1Million WW on both.

While they are at it, might as well port it for the PSP.

That's just a rumor. Capcom said they have no plans right now. It woudn't surprise me, just not happening at the moment.
