Forums - General - Is university a waste of time?

It is needed since today that magical little paper that's called a diploma gets you into riches and dreams.

Today you need a certificate for almost anything. Wouldn't surprise me if there was a Mc.Donalds employee professional certification in some near future. /sarcasm

Some people get lucky without it... I just think you have a more assured future and peace of mind when you have one.

Around the Network

Depends on how you look at it.

Is it ''this is the four years I'm putting in so I can one day have a stable job and a mundande life"?
Or
"four years to learn and do everything I can, and experience all kinds of new things:?

There is in the UK. Seriously. McDonald's have become one of the first companies who can award transferable professional qualifications in management, etc. The government regulates it.

You still have a couple of months, right? Well, that's plenty of time to get a job...Have you done any sports or anything extra-curricular?

Well some people really gets good jobs ($_$) without college, but the world is changing and now they ask that piece of paper for almost anything... so, if you can find a nice job without college great, if not... well college is the way to go...
