Spoilers for 4th. :P not played it yet. But they did something clever with 3, I thought, making you think something was going get weird near the end but actually didn't and it was a halucination.

To be honest, I expected as much, these games are about the story/journey not the overal outcome.

 

On topic,  In Skyrim, Black Reach. Not only was i huge but weird eerie light in the middle. You were so far from anything, no running if you get in trouble.
