Forums - Website Topics - New game database format...

I miss the old graphs, and the game profiles in general look far too similar to user profiles now, which doesn't work so well for the games. Also, there's really nothing unique about each game anymore.

I'm sure when it's done it will look much better, though.

Only stipulation I have: If I want to see a table of any game beyond Week 10, I cant? Clicking sales brings me to a graph of it.

I guess this is off topic and probably has been asked a million times but is there anything in the plans to update game numbers for games with no numbers or games that don't have EU or Japan numbers? Or is that more work than it's worth?

Wow, not sure what happened, but my tab disappeared where I was writing this....anyways, just some thoughts...

I'm sure stuff like this will be subject to multiple changes over the next few weeks, but the size of the total sales text in each region could be larger.

When/if the line graphs come back, could you possibly put both the sales number and week when you mouse over it.  It may end up being to cluttered in practice, but it seems like it would be nice.  Also when they are added, it would be nice to see them above the game summary/comments.  Unless there is a change in the general layout.

This can probably be attributed to IE being an awful browser, but when I go back to a game page, I can no longer go forward.

Also, this is probably an old issue, but the numbers in the charts on the frontpage don't match the totals on the game page.  But it seems this is because the front page charts only count weekly sales for the totals.  So in cases where Europe just has a number for the total, but no weekly sales, this issue arises.  I'm sure you are aware of this, but just felt the need to throw that out since the site is getting an overhaul.

my $.02

So far though, I like the tables with sales data, links to other platforms a game is on, and finally deleting posts from the people trolling the comment section.

It was improved again. Looks better now.

I just really hope we move the posts into the middle, it is a bit hard to read on the side like it is now.

Yeah, I like it more now. And the screenshots being in there again makes it a lot more acceptable. It's easier to see where it's going now.

Loadedstatement has a pretty valid point, though. We should have some method of seeing a complete list of sales, from week 1 to present. I suggest that being something that loads up when we click "Sales History" instead of a comparison graph, since a comparison graph will be included on each page again.

I'm sorry, but in my opnion the new design is a clear step backwards, although I appreciate, that the ratings have been removed.

@ioi... would it be possible to have a regional boxart feature? there has bee a bit of fighting over some boxarts with people editing in the ones they want (RE4:Wii seems to change every week or so) and I thought it would be nice to have seperate ones if possible.

^i like being able to add screen shots , bu i still wish i could finish out some box arts

another step forward

me too,i don't like the new design, before i like the rank system and the hits
