Forums - Gaming - People interested on PS4Neo, would you mind Scorpio being more powerful than Neo?

If I wanted Scorpio I'd get a new GPU (which I am anyway) and then I have access to all of Scorpio's gaming library at the same quality.

So I'd still get Neo.

I will not be participating in buying a second PS4 or X1 that offers no new games I cannot play on my current PS4 or X1...

Thats said, NX is day 1!

Personally, I don't see who the Scorpio is for. MS has already announced that Xbox will no longer have exclusives, as everything is coming to PC. If you really want a ~5.5 Tflops GPU, you'd be better off spending a little over 1/3 of the price (I'm guessing Scorpio will be $499) and buy the RX480.  There's actually a point to the Neo, since Playstation still has many great exclusives you can only play on the PS4/Neo. And Neo will play many of those games at either 4K or maybe at 1080p with ultra settings.

So, to answer your question, nope.  Won't change my mind at all.  Of course, I fully expect Sony to up the clock on the Neo to get it closer to 5.5 Tflops after the Scorpio announcement.

PS4 already more powerfull than I need.
Normal PS4 games look fantastic imo.

For all I care Scorpio can be 10 times as powerful as Neo and I still wouldn't buy it. A million dollar super computer that can't run PS4 exclusives is still less worth than a Neo.

Nah, especially after Spencer's comments that suggest Scorpio will probably just render games native in 4K and no other improvements such as textures and draw distances. I'm guessing Neo will simply be upscalling to 4K.

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

nope, can't play Horizon, Last of Us, Uncharted, Kojima's new game, Bloodborne, Persona, etc, etc, etc...

too involved in the PS ecosystem to think about changing.

of course I would prefer they make the Neo as powerful as possible, don't care about the price

I wouldn't care, I choose PlayStation for it's exclusives and the conferences reaffirmed my decision. I would like Neo to be as powerful as Scorpio, however, always nice to have more power.

Don't ruin the moment

My PC makes the Scorpio somewhat redundant, so i don't particularly care how strong or weak it is (bar a general interest in hardware). I would like the Neo to be stronger than what's currently being reported though, so i guess i would be happy if it was stronger than the Scorpio specifically on the basis that it would mean the Neo was stronger than expected.
