Forums - Sony - Sony confirms existence of PS4 Neo, not at E3

So after all the only reason FOR that thing is more horse power in order to achieve some higher frame rates. And games need to be redone and rereleasd then, right? Slow claps, Sony, slow claps. I wonder how anyone could be willingly pay so much money for something of such insignificance.

So nobody yet knows all the details about it because, although its existence has finally been acknowledged, it hasn't yet been revealed. But people like you, predictably, are quick to jump to that kind of conclusions.

I think they aren't having it on the show due to the fear of a backlash.

That made me wondering, too. Look at the wording: he said "but". If he said "small and manageable" it would sound pretty easy to do so, but that littlte word "but" arises an implification that porting games isn't that easy. But I could be misinterpreting it and overdramatizing this, as well. Just something that came to my mind.

Why would anyone complain about this when they were dealing with a different architecture with PS3 and 360.... Taking way more effort and knowledge. Cell was notoriously difficult to deal with, yet they did it. Why did nobody complain back then. This is a manufactured complaint spread by the media in an effort to push a more level competition between xbox and PS.

There are a few people here in this community who have explained several times why this is a pain in the ass for developers because they work in that industry. I could never recall it, though. Maybe someone might explain it again.

Or they could be keeping the reveal for this year's PSX...

I don't understand why they're confirming this now if they don't intend to release it asap.

To force Microsoft's hand. It's a game of chess.

Hehehe... I called it.

I don't even see them releasing it this year. There is just no reason for them to rush it out this year.

I would really embrace more tricks from it. But based on everything we know so far, I believe there are none. I will gladly have my mind changed, though.

I've heard and seen them on here and Gaf and none of them convince me. It is literally a fraction of the work that it takes for producing last gen versions on PS3 and 360. It makes no sense. PS3 and 360 should be long gone.

Microsoft doesn't need to sell VR this year or next year.

VR has nothing to do with it.
