No, you aren't

It's shipped, not sold. Sorry.

Hence the "going to", as in future.

Any official numbers for Splatoon sales (either shipped or sold)?

(my last post about this, I swear)

There's never been any real doubt IMO. Splatoon sales were always going to drop away a lot because the install base is so small, and Wii U will be gone from the market in 2017. Halo 5 will still keep selling for another 18 months at least and it will overtake Splatoon's LTD easily.

I don't see Splatoon being on NX, Nintendo would be mad to do that. Spla2oon needs to be a launch, or year 1 game on NX.

How much do you see Halo 5 selling LT?

Yes, we need a new word for shipped/sold, so that this tiresome debate every time numbers are posted can finally end.

Im wondering why havent they said 5mil sold already? If its 5mil shipped end of 2015 surely it should be 5mil sold by now?

because they generally don't release numbers for any of their games successful or or not. Occassionally they announce some big milestones, but they are the exception not the rule.

Or maybe just maybe they overshipped and still havent sold 5mil?

Congrats, Halo. Still a huge drop by franchise standards, but that's better than nothing.

Why took them so long to release those Numbers ?.

There was some funny talks on the web today and Frank Connor is a regular poster online. He wasn't letting that turd roll.

He's Halo Franchise Director.

Good job, Halo 5 and lol at the people here trying to downplay it's success. Halo 5 will keep on selling especially with updates like Firefight at the end of June.

There is an important difference, MS overshipped, Nintendo didn't.

Splatoon gap in sales/shipments was 50k in japan, most likely barely over 300K WW. (which should still mean something like 3.75m WW)

We all know MS overship like crazy, there most likely over 1.5 million difference between sold and shipped, if not more.

Not to mention that Splatoon is almost for sure gonna be a NX thing at this point, so let's just be over this, even if for some miracle Halo 5 will outsell the Wii U version, no way it beat NX+Wii U combined.

Bullshit, they can only ship what retailers order. That argument might hold for the first month or so when retailers over estimate demand but they certainly won't continue that way for months post release.

Right that's why Uncharted 3 was oversihpped by something like 3:1 first week, or Mario Maker was overshipped by almost 2:1 first month, lol.

But you know what, i'm bored right now, trusth me or not i don't care, is a fact MS 90% of times overship, and those above were just some example of how a game can be overshipped.

Well no worries @naruball (i messed my qoute up.lol), I'm willing to believe you. I've never seen it before is all. Not worth us arguing with each other right?

Anyway thinking about it, I really don't think we can say Halo 5 did horrible or good given that it's shipped numbers as far as I know. like I mentioned before it's likely that if their expectations were higher that they overshipped possibly by allot. it's an ambiguous number we can't really draw a full conclusion on it imo.

I will say however that when Microsoft overshipped assassins creed bundles it took quite some time for retailers to burn through stock. Not like it's out of the ordinary for Microsoft to over-ship. Seems like it's one of their strategy's at this point as they used to be criticized for doing this with hardware too.
