Man, Nintendo sales are really in the gutter. Not even a single game appearing on a Nintendo platform in the top 10 and record low Wii U hardware sales.

If NX isn't a smash hit, I think it could definitely be their last console. 

I'd honestly hope they go third party. Don't feel like putting up with underpowered hardware and gimmicks just for some 1st party Nintendo games.

Any major games came out for the 3ds and wii u in May?

Thanks Aquamarine. PS4 just 7K off being 2:1 over Xb one is craziness, but we do have UC4 which obviously helped out quite a bit.

Total Software: $241.9 million ($204.7 million last May) (+18.2% from last May)

 

Sony: 25.61% marketshare (+505.5% from last May)

Activision Blizzard: 14.96% marketshare (+124.4% from last May)

Nintendo: 8.92% marketshare (-28.9% from last May)

Take 2 Interactive: 7.69% marketshare (+0.4% from last May)

Electronic Arts: 5.23% marketshare (-20.1% from last May)

Ubisoft: 4.55% marketshare (+32.1% from last May)

These 6 publishers comprise 66.96% of the May 2016 software market

And yes, MS needs a refresh.... actually, scorpio shouldn't even bother being an "upgrade", they should just start a nee gen along with nintendo.

So going through the archives, this is the XB1's 2nd worst NPD month. Its worst month was May 2014, where it sold ~77K. It sold that low because Microsoft announced that it would release a Kinect-less SKU in June 2014.
