Just How many JRPGs are there on the PS4?

A lot. A whole damn lot. Based on my tally, this is what I have:

Released 2016 JRPGs = 7
Upcoming 2016 JRPGs w/ confirmed dates = 11
JRPGs that might come out in 2016 = 3

I swear I'll never get this franchises's names. What is a 2.8 game? I know it's a collection of titles, but couldn't just say that instead of 2.8? And why 2.8?

Something about this being 2.6 (since 2.5 exists) + X KH being 0 (the starting point for entire story + w/o Sora) plus BBS 2.0 being 0.2 (since its teh 2nd story after the starting point and doesnt include Sora).

So 2.8

Remember 6 years ago-ish when Nomura called BBS that to point out that it was on par with KH1 and 2, then said he wasn't going further into the past, and cemented that by putting 0 in the Secret episode of BBS? Those were good times. Now its 0.1 for the newcomers.

Price?

It's 59.99. Which is fair IMO. It's  1 remaster, 1 entirely new short current gen game, and 1 entirely new movie based on a mobile game.

Fixed.

So KH3 at 2018 earliest?

This is my problem, I don't play games on mobiles, I don't own a DS or 3DS, I did own a PSP and rented BBS, played it gave it back (no longer own a PSP) and haven't played BBS since. I love the KH series and have yet only played 3 entries out of all of them and only own KH1 and 2. Yet this is correct isn't it? The main series titles are the only ones that matter, right? So why was the last one released nearly 11 years ago in Japan? They wasted so much time and effort with FFvs13, it's a joke.

As said before, I won't be getting 2.8 as it doesn't include BBS, even if it's got a new Aqua bit. I just was 3.

Unfortunately most of the spin-off games are really important to the story lol That's kind of dumb but I'm not sure how you're supposed to understand the story in KH2 without playing Chain of Memories  which introduces Organization XIII and characters like Naminé. 358/2 Days also helps so much to understand Roxas and Organization XIII. Birth by Sleep will be really important for KH3 so again you can't really skip it. You can skip Coded though because it adds nothing new.

People love to call the handheld games spin-off but thats false.Since they all contirbute to the main story, they are main entries. It dosent have to have a number in front of the title to be a main entry. The only one that could be considered a spin off is Coded, but even then it adds a bit to the overall story, even if just a little.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Well, I didn't understand the story in KH2 at first. In the first part of the game all I could think was 'This is great and all but where the f*** is Sora?'. Org13 were an enemy so easy to understand but not the rest. It made me dislike Roxas, his entity and design as a character, I had no concern over him or his plight as he wasn't Sora, and in turn also dislike the design used in Ventus. Why did he have to look like Roxas? Was he Roxas (this thought before playing the game)? Whole thing is studid.

I plan on skipping them all (other than BBS which I've played), I have no interest in bullcrap spinoffs when I want the main series. One of the reasons SquEnix are annoying me. They really are trying their hardest not to release main series games and make everything a weird franchise. Look at FF13, it wasn't just 13, it was going to be that Nova Crystalise Whatever compilation, which all got canned and now is only 13 plus 2 sequels, vs13 as 15 and Agito and Typo-0 which are related but not (I dunno)? They are doing the same for 15 now, with an anime and an film. It's too much. Just release the bloody games.

.... rant over.

Yeah, if you skip any KH game thinking that it isnt important you are going to be a bit lost in the story.I also did the same(Played KH2 right after KH1 without playing Chain of Memories first) and was pretty lost for a good while in the game.Eventually I went back and played KH COM but yeah, it sucks going in without knowing whats happening.

They may not exactly be spin-offs but they're not main entries either. They're side dishes meant to compliment the numbered games.

Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep looks great.
