That's right guys! We will finally see tons of new footage of the upcoming Zelda game finally at E3! (I hope it's cool if I made this thread, MOD's PM me if not please)
Now you're wondering what Nintendo's full plans at E3 I'm guessing?
This year Nintendo is doing something different, we won't be getting the NX, a traditional Nintendo Conference or Digital Event. WE WILL be getting however a full reveal of the brand new Zelda, so prepare for Zelda E3 and grab you're popcorn!
Here are the full plans: e3.nintendo.com/ (links to the live stream will be posted when available)
"Nintendo Treehouse: Tune in starting at 9 a.m. PT to see Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon in action, followed by the world’s first in-depth look at the new Legend of Zelda game. The day will continue with livestreamed gameplay and behind-the-scenes info from the game experts of Nintendo Treehouse—live and unscripted from the show floor.
Then be sure to come back for a second day of livestreaming, starting at 10 a.m. PT on June 15. The day will start with a special Pokémon GO developer Q&A session. Then Nintendo Treehouse: Live will showcase upcoming games such as Monster Hunter Generations, Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE.
Booth:
Nintendo will transform its booth at this year’s E3 to immerse fans in the world
of the groundbreaking new Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U™ console.
Not headed to E3? You’re invited to share in the excitement by following along online here as new gameplay is unveiled for the first time anywhere."
If you want to see what the booth may look like, here is a video of E3 2005 where the Nintendo booth was showered with Twilight Princess
What can we expect when the event will start?: Well the first actual trailer which should also reveal the name (yay no more calling it Zelda WiiU/NX!), a full demo which coming off other Zelda demos should feature overworld/dungeon/boss and more!
History of The Legend of Zelda WiiU/NX:
Back in January 2013 we had a Nintendo Direct officially confirming Zelda for Wii U was in development, we didn't know much but what we did find out was it would "rethink the conventions of Zelda"
Fast forward to June 10th, 2014 (E3 2014) where we got our first small glimpse of the new Zelda, also confirming a 2015 release (sadly as you know...that never happened)
Now lets forward even more to December 5th, 2014 to The Game Awards where Nintendo has never done anything this huge but showed a 4 minute demo of Zelda Wii U
On March 27, 2015 it was offically confirmed that Zelda for Wi U would be delayed to 2016 and also skipping E3 (which meant no new footage)
Fast forward to November 12th, 2015 where we got a new teaser of Zelda and confirming it will release in 2016
On April 27th, 2016 it was confirmed that Zelda will be delayed again however likely to just March 2017 and not a full year delay like last time, and unlike last time this year E3 will be ALL about Zelda for Nintendo (literally Nintendo isn't going to show anything else). Nintendo ALSO confirmed that Zelda will also be coming to the NX (likely as a launch title) And we also got this first artwork of the new Zelda game
On May 5th we got the full plans of Nintendo's E3 which also showed us a new logo.
