Because the games have higher scores? That's not the point.
TLOU just didn't had any kind of point to be called into, that actually exceeds highly on every aspect, and defines a new standard for a whole concept on the media.

I fear we'll never see a game achieve anything close to what TLOU did, it doesn't mean games won't evolve past it, but that there was just nothing, absolutely nothing, to be taken away from it (on top of having several things to be admired), and as deserving to be considered perfect as it does.

The AI is terrible. There you have something.

Worse than terrible. Its especially surprising during stealth segments. Another flaw was how ND made the MP pay to win with ridiculous DLC weapons and perks.

- Bad pacing. The opening especially is very slow, but there are also other parts of the game where it suffers. A game like Uncharted shouldn't have more than one puzzle in a row. Also the entire middle section of the game is spent fighting pirates on different ships and a shipyard that turns out to not push the story forward at all. The shipyard section in particular is good, but it still feels like a visual showcase rather than anything meaningful.

- Far too much forced hand to hand combat and on each occasion it goes on for too long. I'm not sure if it was practice for The Last of Us (which was far better in this regard) but it didn't work and wasn't fun.

-Some bad signposting on chase scenes

-Enemies. Wave after wave of enemies, who seem to be able to flank you out of nowhere, and take a ridiculous amount of bullets to put down. Too many completely open areas where enemies come at you from all angles.  There is also a few times where a cutscene ends or a respawn occurs, and the game sees fit to put you back into the game, out of cover, and surrounded by enemies. Also, one enemy sees you, and even if you quickly dispatch him with melee, every other enemy on the map knows exactly where you are immediately.

- Woolly controls. Cover system isn't tight enough, aiming is too slow (about 12 seconds to look around 360) and semi-regular incidents of button presses not being carried out by the game.

- The story is very similar to the previous games, and both the second and third games end with the thing you spent the game moving towards being destroyed right after getting to it. Elena and Drake's relationship is also the same each time. They start in conflict and then the relationship progresses and they end up together, only to be apart at the start of the next game with, unless I'm forgetting something, no explanation.

-There are some glitches. There is one where you get out of cover, and Drake goes at superspeed and covers half the map in 2 seconds. It's kinda funny at the ned of battle, but otherwise is another small thing that adds to the frustration.

I know it is five years old now, and with the new game out, no-one really cares anymore. But I just finished it and wanted to vent a little. It has some great qualities, but is very frustrating.

I think it's more like a 7/10

Im with you its a fanboy rating

Am I the only one that liked Uncharted 3 more than Uncharted 2?! :P

For me, the Uncharted series ranks like this:

Uncharted 4 => Uncharted 2 (I just can't decide which is better overall)
Uncharted
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Uncharted 3

Uncharted 3 had problems. A lot of them. It had horrible pacing, the story made me yawn more than once, and overall it was not a strong entry into the series. The "supernatural" enemy was pretty bad too. Really bad. I still remember that horrible fight with several of them near the end game where they could literally take multiple missiles apiece and not go down. That isn't fun anymore. That's just bad enemy design, especially when they can drop Nate in just a small handful of hits even on normal. Enemy placement was bad, the game didn't feel as tight and fun as Uncharted 2, the storytelling got pretty lazy at times, and overall, it was a really disappointing sequel.

It's the only Uncharted game I haven't revisited and have no desire to. I genuinely dislike the game and find it to be the blacksheep of the Uncharted series. Even the Vita entry feels tighter and of higher quality, thus my inclusion of it over Uncharted 3 in ranking.

I played Little big adventure in 1994, that impressed me more than Oot. Not fully 3D sure, it's all incremental steps after all.
Oot is the better game, but as far as impressive leaps go Oot wasn't all that close to the top. Ofcouse in '98 it had very stiff competition with Half-life, Baldur's gate and Metal gear solid, what a fantastic year.

Well I was a kid, I had 9 when I played OOT for the first time, but I was very used to videogames by that moment, In my house we had an Spectrum DX, an Atari 2600, a Mega-Drive, a GB and a Ps1, I used to play a ton of videogames and I remember that OoT was the biggest WOW I have ever felt in my life in that regaard, it really was, FFVII and MGS were big wows too but OoT was epic for me, and I didnt even had the console.

Half-Life took the biggest WOW that year for me, just the start of the game alone was perfect. I was 24 at the time, loved OOT yet never saw it as revolutionary. Those big moments were Civilization in 91, Dune 2 in 92, Doom in 93, LBA in 94, Frontier First Encounters in 95, Tombraider in 96, FF7 in 97. Wind waker actually gave me a bigger wow than oot, I didn't want that game to end. So many epic games back then. (And time to play them, still not through Uncharted 4 and haven't even had the time to boot it up the past 4 days)

As for the part about AI, when applied to OoT, I said that in jest. But my point stands that you do not apply the same scrutiny and criticism to games that aren't made by Nintendo or exclusive to their consoles. That much, we all know. ^_-

I name a well known flaw that most people has already accepted of a game you like and you get all crazy like a kid trying to downgrade my opinion because i like Nintendo, what the hell does that has to do with the fact that tlou has a dissapointing AI that can break the inmersion too many times? Didn't say it make it a bad game, but I was answering a comment that pretty much said there was not a single reason to give this game less than a 100 and that's simply not true, I just named the most obvious and accepted flaw as an exemple.  By the way my favourite games of the last gen are Portal 2, Mario Galaxy and Bioshock, two out of my 3 favourite games of the last gen were NOT made by Nintendo or released on any of their consoles, enough with that bullshit already, trying to discredit my opinion because I have a favourite company is completely out of place and ridiculous.

Wait, what? Where, when, how have I gone crazy like a kid (as if kids were crazy in the first place. -__-)? I have been pretty mild so far in the way I expressed everything here. You're the one getting emotional and questioning someone's maturity as a mean for you to feel better/superior than the other. You've reacted strongly to everything thrown at you so far, as is more often than not the case with you.

TLOU's AI is quite good. Many in here have told you that already. Not just me. You say it is terrible, which is false, and is certainly not the concensus among reviewers and players alike. I have not once reacted to your comments by saying that you mean it's a bad game. I've only ever mentioned your statement about the AI. Things are more often than not black and white and hyperboles with you. Making leaps of logic and jumpîng to conclusions about what I didn't even brought up in the first place.

If that's no going all crazy...

By the way, I don't think TLOU deserves a 100 MC any more than OoT deserved it's score back then, or deserves to be held in the regard it's been held since it came out.

It sould be a 10 imo. Different tastes I guess.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

Maybe it's because there are people out there who share a different opinion than you do?
Or everything is a conspiracy.

I've really enjoyed U3. Thr graphics are mindblowing for previous gen, the story is good and gameplay is fine. I personally find the adventure, puzzle, story and mystery more important than shooting and I was happy with it.
