The average pay is biased because men are more numerous in professions from the STEMM areas while womans are the majority in professions in the humans sector. The difference in salaries is related to the job choice. Studies comparing pays for men and women in the same profession show a much more equalitary pay grade. I myself never had a situation in any company where a women was being paid less than a men in an equal position. Also keep in  mind  that women sometimes pause their careers for one or two years to have kids and that results in an impact in their payment when they return.

We should start to study why women aren't chosing the STEMM areas as much as men, to determine if it is a social imposition or if they simply prefer more other areas. The current studies basically say that an engineer get more cash than an historian and that won't change. We need to attack the issue from the correct point of view.

About fat people, I'm a bit overweight and I don't think skinny people are perceived as healthier. They ARE healthier (unless they are anorexic). I can say that people who smoke are less healthy, why can't I say the same about obese people? We already have a lot of criticism towards excessive skinny people, but I don't want people to start saying that being fat is a normal and healthy choice when it isn't. A 300 pounds guy is as sick as an anorexic person.

In 28 states you can be fired for being gay without recourse. There are people actively fighting to keep it this way. Gay people can not share benefits with their partners, adopt, and so on.

Women earn significantly less than men and are often perceived as less capable despite being otherwise qualified. Studies have shown biases towards labeling women as "chatty", "talkative", or "gossipy" even in cases where they have not been.

A skinny bodytype is definitely preferred. People underweight on BMI are perceived as healthier and more attractive than those within the normal range. Magazines photoshop already thing people to make them abnormally thin, then promise advice on how to reach these unattainable goals.

If you didn't realize when you were typing it, the common denominator in all of these examples is power. The top example is an example of people in power talking about the less powerful group. Quite often these groups have the power and influence to impose, or at least attempt to impose, their will on the less powerful group. So that's the difference here.

Yes, it is called regret. I understand where you're coming from, but what I'm saying, as a guy who has been with a lot of women,just because it's "ok" doesn't mean she wanted it.

I've had girls tell me later that they didn't actually want to have sex sometimes but that they allowed it because they thought they would lose me. I've had two say that. It's actually more common than you'd think. Not everyone has a great sex drive. Some girls don't get any pleasure. Some can enjoy literally laying there not being touched. Seriously, I've known a girl who could just squeeze her thighs and get off without any kind of stimulation. It might seem like I'm getting off track, but I'm illustrating the broad range of how people function. I've always been upset when a girl isn't into it. A lot of girls, and I really mean a whole heck of a lot, think that they NEED to have sex in order to keep someone. Even if they don't want it.

I don't know what else to tell you. I know you disagree and you're entitled to that. I just want to make my point that rape isn't really a joke to most girls. And for a guy to be "raped" by like "a hot teacher" which does happen, some men would find that silly. Like "oh I'm sure he said no". Humans are more complicated than you're making it seem.

You.. do know why that is, don't you? lol. Don't tell me you're trying to imply that they get less pay for the same work because that obviously isn't true and it would be quite dishonest if you were trying to suggest that.

Seriously dude?  It'd be annoying enough for someone to take an isolated point out of my post I made like a week ago out of context that is ultimately inessential to the argument... It'd be more annoying for them to respond in a pandering tone and create a strawman argument... but it it's extra annoying after I just specifically told someone that I already had a discussion about this and didn't want to have another conversation about it.  That's the annoying trifecta right there.
