I can understand the anger I would hate to have that forced on me but honestly windows 10 is great.

No, it's not. There's really nothing that it does better than 7.

Nope your wrong and I suggest you don't say things like that without having extensive experience with the OS and doing heavy research. I can tell you the main (and only reasons) I switched to 10.

1. It without a doubt is better for gaming performance. Just like Windows 8 was better than 7. You can get up to like 20% better performance in games with windows 10 if your still on windows 7.

2. The way the new app store is setup it lets me setup scripts to run these apps right from Kodi to launch Netflix and Hulu. I can then control these programs using my HTPC remote. Before you could only use the browser and then I have use the mouse on my HTPC which works but it's just much better with  the apps. The Pause button works so I can instantly pause a show without having to click the mouse button.

There is a ton that it does better.

For instance, Windows 10 supports higher resolution monitors better than Windows 7 thanks to the new and improved scaling.

It supports mobile devices better with it's "Metro" interface, which is far more touch friendly than the desktop GUI.

There is also allot that Windows 7 is better at, such as simplicity and hardware support. (Windows 7 supports older devices like GPU's etc'.)

Windows 10 also has better support form newer hardware though, such as a few Intel CPU features like Speed Shift, Direct X 12 (Which relies on the updated driver model in Windows 10.)

Both OS's are pretty solid in my opinion. I'm still using Windows 7 on my main desktop due to not wanting to wipe my SSD yet.

I don't need to do research on obscure features that a few people use. I use it a few times a week and there are simple things that it does worse.

Gaming is something a bunch of people do on PC's so once again please do some research before spouting off nonsense.

Since over 5 years, the red x does nothing more, than "close this window"
Not even "close this Programm" is common anymore.

Why are people suprised? Read the text and.
But this is no surprise and explains why people fuck up theire System, install bloatware and get viruses.

Yea one thing I've hated that programs have been doing for a bit now is during the install pretending that the copyright screen is up and asking you to agree or disagree. Except it's not the copyright window it's a window asking you to install other software not related to the one you downloaded.

I have not had a Windows since XP, and I barely used it. The last one I really used was whatever was before that.

I have a chromebook now and have become used to it.

I wouldn't be able to live without Photoshop, InCopy, Xbox and Kindle apps and a 3D character model creating app...

Gaming performance lol:

As I said, no reason to upgrade unless you use obscure features.

Buying a new computer automatically gave me Windows 10. While it's great, I find it idiotic to force it upon everyone else.

What do they even get from doing that?

Probably just datamineing you, and selling your info.

Oh and they get a additional potential windows store user, as well each time someone upgrades.

Microsoft is gonna kill .exe files, and make everything be UWP which only works though their store.

The aim is to do what steam does with games, take a cut of the profits, and force everyone to sell stuff through their store.

Kill .exe files???? Can you even do that? I mean that is the norm and every app is opened that way so does that mean every app becomes useless?

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also
