Its 2016, if you can't make a horror game with proper responsive controll its on you. Gimping the players capacity to properly interact with the world is bad design, plain and simple. Tank controlls were never a design decision btw, they happened due to limitations of the engine Capcom was woking with.
Anyway they say RE will go back to it's roots every new RE, and altough Revelations 2 did some of that very well done, all the other games don't deliver on this promisse.
